I would choose the council for exceptional children if i were to join one of these groups. I think that it would be a good start to show me a little more indept of how those kids act and why they do.also understand the condition they have and how to teach a child with special needs. this i feel will prepare everyone more later in the long runn and givess you a more appreciation for the job.

I would consider joining the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children). This organization focuses on early childhood education. I think I would prefer teaching in the lower grades and this particular organization provides helpful info on current issues, resources, trends, etc., which are geared toward the younger student. It would also be helpful in building my network of contacts.

I would consider joining the National Association for the Education of Young Children. I really want to be a preschool or kindergarten teacher, and I think that this website would give me a lot of information and tips about teaching. This website has all kinds of information, about there membership, conferences, information for teachers, students, and even families. I think this organization would be helpful, on the website alone they are giving teachers information on helping young children after they have went through a disaster. I just believe I would find information about young children and that would help me with the age group I am going to be teaching.

I would choose to join the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD). The reason I chose this is because I think it's important to focus on effective teaching and learning.

This organization helps out educators, and helps us out in our ways to learn, teach, and read.

I would choose the NABE association. I feel that in todays society it is very important to be able to speak multiple languages because not only can you understand more people but also learn how to understand new cultures and will teach students how to put thier new knowledge to work.

If I was to join one of these organizations, I would probably choose to join NAEYA(National Association for the Education of Young Children). I think this is a very positive website because it does not only provide information for teachers, but also for students, families and for higher education. Another detail that I found very appealing about this website is that under the "Information for Teachers" link, it had information about supporint teachers and strengthening families, in addition the standards for professional preparation. It talks about "Project Home" and how important it is, especially with teaching young children to realize that we are "uniquely positioned to play a key role in strengthening of families." It talks abotu leadership, resources and partnerships, all things that we need to be a successful teacher. I think this group is very beneficial to anyone going into elementary education and offers resources and valuable information for many different instances.

I would consider joing the IRA(International Reading Association). I think it would a great experience to work with kids, that have a hard time reading. Being able to work with them in that area. To improve there reading skills, and watch them grow. I believe being able to read is very important in today's society.

If I was to choose one of these groups to be a part of, it would deffinatelt be the International Reading Association. I think reading is a great thing. I would enjoy having a book club to purchase books from to share with my students. Plus everyone should learn to love to read.

I would join the National Art Education Association because I like how art is used to teach lessons and give students multiple perspectives. I agree with the website about how art teaches children that problems have more than one solution and that questions can have more than one answer. Children are allowed to broaden their horizons and be creative while still being educated!

Phi Delta Kappa International caught my attention. I would be interested in becoming a member of this organization based on their mission to better public education. After exploring their website, I was happy to find and learn about all the ways the members of PDK International embrace diversity in the classroom. By being a member of such a successful organization, I would hope to expand my knowledge for use in the classroom. I was also impressed to see that PDK Internatinoal’s headquarters is in Bloomington, Indiana. Knowing that such a growing organization started so close to where I live intrigues me all the more.

After exploring all of the websites, the one that interested me the most was definitely the Council for Exceptional Children. The reason that this website interested me more than the others is because I feel that once I become a teacher that will be one of my greatest obstacles, dealing with children that have special needs. I truly feel for the families that take care of children who have special needs and I don't think that they get the special attention that they actually need.

After viewing all the web sites the one i would probably join is the Council for Exceptional Children. I am interested in becoming a special education teacher so joining this site would show my devotion to teaching the special ed. If i choose not to become a special education teacher it would still open my eyes to the area of special education and would help me understand these students and would help me become a better teacher.

I think i would chose the "council for exceptional children" if i were to join one. My mother has always worked with handicapped children so i have always helped her, and my heart always goes out for them. I think it would make my job even more rewarding.

I would consider joining the NAEYC. I think that adults today are responsible for how the next generation is going to turn out. As a teacher, i take special interest in children and this organization would be interesting to me. It has lots of information that may be helpful regarding questions over issues i may think of as an elementary educator.
